BEHIND THE BRAND
Our story began on the heels of an elk hunting trip, in the Alberta backcountry. We were topping-up on cheesecloth game bags, AGAIN, because we couldn't find any reusable ones locally at the time, and that's what sparked the idea for our very first bag design. Years later, hundreds of prototypes and revisions made, and we launched RRO with our flagship bag, made right here in Southern Alberta.

They hold up - period
The way your game meat tastes post processing is a direct reflection of how it's recovered and butchered. RRO has made my bag lighter, wallet heavier, and wild game tastier due to their game bags. P.S I've used these game bags on three back-country elk trips with and without horses. They hold up. Period.

I'm impressed with how they even stay white after washing them! The material holds up super tough against sticks, bones, and sharp edges. Saves me money in the long run. Reusable is the way to go.

RRO game bags stood out for their practicality during my elk and moose hunts in 2023. The materials, though lightweight, held up well under the demands of a pack-raft recovery and rugged terrain. Breathability top notch, washed out nice. Drawstrings are quality. It's a nice feeling when simple gear functions as it should, simply and effectively.

Really glad I made the switch from the one-time use bags. I put these bags to the test early in the season on a bull elk. No tears, and they clean up like they never had blood stains on them. Highly recommend trying them out for yourself!

Located in Southern Alberta, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, we are avid hunters and lifelong outdoorsmen. Driven by adventure and the need to be in nature, we are always thinking of ways to improve the outdoor experience through gear innovations. We wanted to meet a need in the Canadian hunting community, and that's why we started RRO!
In 2017, planning for our annual back-country archery elk hunt, we were really frustrated with our current game-bag situation. We knew what we wanted, but there just wasn't anything on the market in Canada that met those requirements. Game bags are an often overlooked piece of gear, but super critical to preserving your priceless meat and getting it home unspoiled. After coming home from that hunt, we decided to begin the long process of designing, sewing, and testing these bags ourselves. Three seasons later, countless hours invested in product development and field testing, our game bags were finally ready to hit the market! We decided to partner with a local gear manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta, and this brought our production to the next level. We were able to fulfill much larger orders, and still maintain our standard for quality that's so important to us.
Our goal from the start has always been to create products that we'd be proud to stand behind OURSELVES as hunters.
